This incredible old-growth redwood forest is located in Humboldt County, northern California. I’ve not yet found a camera that captures the depth of feeling in the forest where the trees have been for hundreds of years.
I thought these two Roosevelt elk males were heading for a challenge, but their approach resolved as they walked past each other. There was a large herd of does off to the left side of the camera. Taken at Prairie Creek Redwood State Park, CA.
